Minutes

The minutes of 2010’s meeting were accepted with a clarification about what Thrivent had wanted for $10000.

Receiving of reports

Pastor Goodman

Pastor Goodman starts his report in video form, A Pastor’s Leap of Faith out the windows of the office into the fifteen antagonists high snow drifts. The Arlington Messenger has contacted us in regards to an article about the life of faith in Arlington. St. Paul is apparently the only thriving mainline Protestant church in Arlington—there are other thriving churches (Orthodox, Catholic, Unitarian-Universalist). The sound of the singing every Sunday reminds him of our community’s strength and life. PICT PICT

President Mark Olson

President Olson thanks clergy, Kirsten Leinhard (treasurer), Don Mitchell (financial secretary), Ken Heyda (treasurer-in-waiting). Also those who are leaving the Council: Marilyn Waehler and Marianne Brown, and other positions: auditors Todd Hay and Heikki Topi, nominator Norma Ofsthun, and New England Synod delegates Helen Payne Watt and Mark Olson. We have received overwhelming financial support; now it’s time to follow that up with time and effort in person.

A member thanks Mark, Colleen, and the leadership of the church for their hard work in sustaining the community.

Nominations

The committee thank those who now end their service, those who continue to serve, and those who have agreed to begin new service. They nominate the following slate to the council to serve until January 2014:

They also nominate Valerie Devine as Auditor, Lena Olsson-Noonan as Nominator, and Bruce Grunwald and Rebecca Pontius as delegates to the New England Synod.
